The evening begins with a couple of hours of mingling and dining on the home-cooked delights kindly brought in by those who attend followed by an eclectic programme of slideshows curated by Fiona Rogers (Magnum Photos; Firecracker) and Harry Hardie (HERE). It’s a great opportunity for members of the photography, art and media communities to get together for an evening of eating, drinking and visual storytelling.
Slideluck Potshow is an international non-profit arts organization, operating in many cities globally, that aims to build and strengthen community around photography and food.
Calling all emerging and established photographers and artists from the UK and beyond to present work in a relaxed and spirited atmosphere. This show’s theme is GENDER and IDENTITY, which can be explored from historical, cultural, social, psychological or emotional perspectives. We are expecting a vibrant and provocative selection that will consist of two parts, contrasting male and female interpretations of the subject and curated by Harry Hardie and Fiona Rogers respectively. We are delighted to announce that Blurb will be supporting the event by selecting the best story of the evening and rewarding the photographer with a £200 Gift Card to spend on Blurb.com
A £10 fee per submission applies. Each photographer who submits their work will receive a voucher from Blurb for £28.95 off orders on their online store. The voucher is valid until July 7th 2012 and can be used for self-published book orders in GBP, USD and EURO.
GUP Magazine will make a selection of series that suit its media and provide a high-quality stage with a broad audience (online or in print) in the form of portfolio and exclusive interview, for those selected among the participating artists/photographers.
